Keeping it casual with jeans and sandals

I may not be the most stylish guy in the office during the workday, but I know what looks good when it's time to relax on the weekends. Comfortable duds are important, sure, but you've gotta keep it stylish when you head out for a casual date or a day at the beach.
When I was in college, I'd roll out of bed and head off to class in sweats and an old pair of sneakers. Now, when I'm getting ready to spend my day off with my girl, I try to look presentable and in touch with fashion.
Super-skinny jeans are popular these days, and although I'm not one to follow the hippest trends, I'll admit the form-fitting look looks good with a nice pair of flip flops. Jeans with a tighter leg and ankle don't drag on the ground under my sandals, and I can avoid that sloppy look by pairing dark pants with a pair of leather flip flops.
The X Strap by Bluefin is the type of footwear I wear with this get-up: They're classy enough to give my look some style, but not over-the-top with crazy designs or embellishments. My friends won't think I'm trying too hard when I pair this kind of shoes with jeans and a polo shirt, and my girlfriend will be happy to be by my side. The sandal makes me look both casual and stylish - and frugal to boot, since I found them at Rack Room Shoes.
