At Rack Room Shoes, we are committed to giving back to our communities.

As retailers, we rely on the support of the people in the communities where our stores are located. They are not just customers, they are our neighbors. And good neighbors are involved in and concerned for the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Throughout the year, Rack Room Shoes partners with various non-profit groups combining financial and volunteer support to assist organizations in making a positive difference.

Shoes That Fit
Can you imagine being a little boy, too ashamed to come to school because you have nothing to wear on your feet except your sister's pink plastic jelly shoes? Or having to use one hand to hold up the borrowed trousers you're wearing so that they won't fall down?

Elodie McGuirk founded Shoes That Fit, a non-profit children's charity that began in 1992. We help children in need by providing them with new shoes and clothes so that they can attend school in comfort and with dignity. New clothing items that are appropriate for school help these children fit in, allowing them to concentrate on their studies rather than their circumstances. Today, the four employees at our national headquarters in Claremont, California manage volunteer coordinators nationwide who run programs in hundreds of schools across the U.S.
Shoes That Fit operates exclusively on private donations - we receive no government funding.
